We are looking for an experienced application developer, who will get to design, architect & implement new features and optimize existing ones from controller-level to UI. The role requires working closely with and incorporating feedback from product managers, interaction designers and back-end engineers. Responsibilities -Develop powerful, yet simple to install and use applications -You will have to solve scalability problems, keep the application running REALLY fast and pro-actively look for ways to make SocialAppsHQ better. -Expand our current application suite to integrate several advanced features. -Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems -Play a key role in product development and the direction of the SocialAppsHQ’s feature set -QA testing (we e a startup: everyones gotta pitch in) Experience -2-6 years of experience in a strong technology company -Experience developing Facebook applications is a bonus -Ability to identify a problem and find the solution on your own Skills -Ruby on Rails (although if you have worked on PHP, Python, Java or Perl, you can apply as well) -Comfortable with HTML & CSS -Familiarity with subversion -Experience with consuming and exposing SOAP/rest services -Bonus points if you have worked with EC2/S3/Apache and Memcache Education Some fancy computer science degree is a bonus but your work experience counts more!
