Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Role Description:
-Executes small scale QA projects and/or plays a role in aspects of a larger project. Crafts solutions for well-structured problems.
-Understands and utilizes effective testing methodologies and processes. -Identifies, tracks, and accurately reports defects found.
-Writes and maintains black-box test cases and simple test scripts based on well-defined feature requirements.
-Maintain a high quality test environment by reporting environment defects.
-Creates quality test plans for small scale projects.
-Performs user interface testing to fully exercise updated functionality and providing effective end-to-end testing to better verify an entire system.
-Reports status of project progress in timely and accurate fashion, using available metrics.
-Reproduces errant product behavior to assist developers or other testers.
Advocates for an adopted standard or process in software development.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files
Experience in Java/Perl/Python based automation and/or user-level automation tools such as Selenium or Quick Test Pro
Experience in Unit Testing APIs like JUnit, HttpUnit
Knowledge of UNIX environment and Shell scripting
Education: BE/ B Tech in Computer Science or related
Experience: 1-5 years
